i always go back to you

i love love love this photo of alexa chung.
a great photo is when you get the exact same feeling you felt at the moment the photo was taken.
i don't know what alexa felt at that time but everytime i see this picture i always have the same nostalgic feel like the first time i saw it.
and made me think that a great picture are also the ones that makes you want to be on that moment.
the reason i wanted to blog. capture streetstyle and emotion of the moment. be it fun, nostalgic, sarcastic or just plain silly.

a simple life

my favorite tv show when i was so very young is The Wonder Years. i love 60's, 70's... those era. when life is simple and men were dressed in coats and ties. when your problem is getting called to recite on class, peeing while sleeping and how to talk to your crushes. it captured kids dilemma, mom's feelings, father and son's interaction and freedom teenagers wants.

my original hippie girl is Karen Arnold (Olivia d'abo). i am always fascinated by her style. long hair, skirts, beads, necklaces and her quest for freedom. she seems mature, confident and knows what she wants. she seems so mysterious and wanting to be like her. so much...

my favorite scene is when Kevin is preparing for the first day of school. wanting and believing that he is cool. wearing a bell bottom pants and everyone stops and looked at him and their faces are like "you are not pulling it off". so funny. and i can't convey it by writing. nostalgic, so good.

back to innocence

1. Abbey Lee 2. Freja beha 3. Abbey Lee 4. Jac

bangs changes looks. it brings child like innocence. it add layers, add softness. if you wanna hide an airplane runway forehead, add one :) i like the 3rd photo, Abbey Lee Kershaw looks like a child playing dress up. so cute. on Freja, it add softness but a rock and roll feel as well.

old pics

Tango knitted louse; st francis necklace; duran duran tees; schu oxford shoes

Topshop blouse; Bayo, in-blouse; Topshop belt; greenhills "tiangge" pants; CMG, sequined ballet flats
i have already cut my hair - very short. drastic change but a very welcome one. i like taking pictures on malls since they have better lightings but also i have to juggle not to be caught since it's not allowed to take photos of their merchandise.

trousers take a tour

I love pants right now. Size - doesn't matter. I would wear them all until belts can no longer hold them!
And how cool the shoes on the 2nd photo. And Dree - eye popping.

one way or another

Fashion extremes. Loud and composed. Luxury and grunge.

Imagine them as mom and daughter. Interesting.
